To celebrate their joint venture as Georgia Center for Total Cancer Care (GCTCC), Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS), and Atlanta Oncology Associates (AOA), hosted three “Doctoberfest” open houses at their Hawkinsville, Blairsville, and Macon locations on October 20 and 27.
These German-themed meet and greet events also gave GCS and AOA physicians a chance to show their appreciation for the local medical community, including referring physicians and their staff members, healthcare administrators, and pharmacists.
“These ‘Doctoberfest’ parties allow us to welcome a new physician, celebrate a new office opening, and show our appreciation for the local medical community,” said Dr. Bruce Feinberg, President/CEO of GCS.
“Physician collaboration is a key component to a successful medical practice,” said Dr. Dale McCord, CEO of AOA. “These events are a fun way to acknowledge that fact.”
At this year’s “Doctoberfest” open houses, GCS celebrated the recent addition of Dr. Raj Gupta to its Macon and Hawkinsville offices, while AOA also welcomed Dr. R. Randall Blackburn to its Hawkinsville office.
The Georgia Centers for Total Cancer Care (GCTCC) are comprehensive cancer care facilities where patients can have access to many of the services associated with cancer treatment, including medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, x-ray and CT imaging, dermatology, and a fully equipped pharmacy. Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS), the largest private oncology/hematology practice in the Southeast, and Atlanta Oncology Associates (AOA), one of the largest radiation therapy groups in the Southeast, provide cancer care for the centers. GCTCCs are currently located in Macon, Blairsville, and Hawkinsville.
